I have found myself at Swinburne via an Arts degree at La Trobe, where I had a brief foray into honours history. After becoming disenchanted with my thesis topic, I wanted to be doing something that was more in line with the direction I am heading, with an emphasis on diversifying my skill base. Now at Swinburne, I am studying a Graduate Diploma in Media and Communications. I may go on to complete a Masters, but in enrolling in the grad dip, I felt i was giving myself more flexibility.

I chose this course as I felt that it strengthens my skill as a writer, while developing others that will be crucial in my work impacting the world. Specifically, I really want to work on my ability to write for different mediums and in different styles. Also, I want to have greater understanding of the internet and the different ways it can be used to communicate to the world.
